Expect the Unexpected! Ist in a new series. Fantastic, griping read. Would recommend to anyone that likes romantic suspense stories. When Emily Davis, park ranger, finds a skull in her park, it sets a series of find that are very disturbing, When Wade Brunner shows up as a detective on the case, she is shocked to see she still has feelings for him. This book is a little different from others I've read by this author. It's full of suspense and intrigue as well as romance. Wade and Emily were highschool sweethearts. They meet again many years later and realize they still have feelings for each other. They end up working together to search for a serial killer who has Emily as his latest target. An interesting read.

Author Elle E. Kay has written a delightfully chilling work of romantic suspense. There are several possible suspects, so I didn't know who Emily should watch out for. There are plot twists that kept me guessing. I liked both main characters. They hurt each other in the past, being too young to deal with tragedy and not knowing how to support someone going through it. I really, really wanted Emily and Wade to be able to forgive each other and get their HEA. I received a copy from the author.
