Ever since I was a child, and began reading about aliens, fantasy worlds, and magic, I always wondered what if?

What if all of those Ancient Alien conspiracies were true? If so, then where did all of those lost civilizations and colonies go after they mysteriously disappeared? What if there was a cosmic collection point somewhere out there?

So for many years, I created this world in my imagination where Vikings and Aztecs still existed. I would dream of a world where Atlantis still thrived. In my mind's eye, I would envision a world overseen by a mysterious all-powerful being who was neither living or dead, but rather a machine infused with living consciousness. My daydreams would be filled with strange quests and prehistoric animals.

As I became older, the world in my mind changed with me. The strange disappearances from Earth, combined with years of warfare made a plausible theory that Earth was in-fact doomed, and there was a race of benevolent beings who were doing everything they could to save life on Earth.

My fascination with Vikings and magic began when I started studying pagan religions. I found Norse mythology and the adventures of Viking raiders to be fascinating. I especially became engrossed in the unique magic surrounding that ancient culture.

I began writing this book in 2017. Since it's beginning, I have gone through many personal and professional trials in my life. Many of those are also reflected in this writing.

This book for me is about the pursuit of truth. It is about death and rebirth. It is about love and consequences. Mostly I wrote it because in doing so, I was able to become self-aware. I believe in Karma, and I also believe in reincarnation.

As I wrote this book, I became aware of all of the mistakes I had made in my life. The task of writing required me to take a hard look at myself because now instead of escaping reality, I was creating a reality.

I believe that this book is an insight into one possible probability out of many. In life we are presented with multiple probabilities to every situation or path. Our choices are what guide the hands of Fate. So as I finish this book and present it to the world, I know in my heart that I finally made the right choices in my life.

Sean Paquet is an author, investigative journalist, and freelance writer who lives and works as an American Expatriate in the Philippines. He retired from active duty military service in 2013 after 24 years and was then a private defense contractor in the Middle East until 2018. Sean is from a small town called Carp Lake in the Northern part of the Lower Peninsula of Michigan. He grew up loving to read and write poetry and had enough promise as an artist to consider it full-time until he decided to join the military.

Sean has always been interested in the weird, unusual, and strange things that exist on the fringes of our reality. His interest in heathenism, metaphysics, meditation, and out-of-body experiences led him to publish his first novel, A Game of Gods, in June 2020.

His second novel, titled The Jarl's Shadow released in January 2022 and explores metaphysical concepts along with personality disorders while maintaining a science fiction/fantasy-related backstory of unimaginable alien forces, lost civilizations, and conspiracy theories.

His third book, Conversations With My Demons, is a collaborative effort with renowned Australian occultist and writer Angela Kable. In this third book, deep messages regarding addiction, trauma, and Spiritual Awakening are explored at length, along with numerous metaphysical and esoteric concepts.

Science fiction and fantasy are way out of my normal genre of books. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed this one. The world Sean Paquet created is a fun break from reality here in our world. I liked the journey on which his characters embarked. I especially liked the bond his cast formed as they travelled and opposed the other side of the balance. What I found most interesting was the way the author opened my mind to a different perspective of our being. I honestly don’t normally believe in any possibility of this realm but it really made me think “What if? Thoroughly enjoyable read and I would recommend this book to anyone, even those who aren’t into this genre.

I received an ACR copy of this book for an honest review. Well I am going to be honest... this book was way out of my comfort zone, not my preferred genre. But, I have to say I enjoyed the book. Sean Michael Paquet starts off the ground running with his prelude. He sucked me into another world, and with his descriptive analogyI was able to visualize his creative world.

Jon is a young 17 year old with special gifts and the son of a Jarl. With his gifts he is able to communicate with animals who has befriend. He meets a saber-toothed cat who is lost leading him on a mission to help him. However, there are beings behind the scenes who have genetically enhanced Jon’s family. Secrets are kept and agendas are planned.

I thought the book was well written with excellent explanations of different species, technology, and past events leading to the current time. I did not find the book dragged or it did not flow.

Would I read another of Sean Michael Paquet’s book? Yes, and recommend you read it as well. This book will keep you engaged from begging to end.

As a young teenager in 1960 I was enthralled by Edger Rice Burrows series about Pelucidor, a different world. This book totally takes you to the world of Threa, you are transported. When I read a book and feel I am in this world it makes reality disappear for a short while. This book was written by my son and I was totally caught off guard at his master of words and imagery. I always knew he had an incredible imagination from the time he was five on. It was still a surprise to see his world on paper. I was honored to help him with the editing process and confess I have read this book three time and could read it a fourth, give yourself a treat and join all the other people who are visiting Sean’s world of Threa. You will love the setting, the characters and the adventures. Sean is at present writing the second book in this series, it sounds just as facinating.
