Doctor in the Outback

I really enjoyed Scott and Franceen’s love story in Doctor in the Outback by Nicole Flockton, book three in her Welcome to Bunya Junction series. Dr. Scott Carruthers’ world turns upside down when he meets the newly hired ab/gyn, Dr. Franceen Lewis. Their attraction is obvious, but between the long hours they spend at the hospital and the pain and baggage they carry from past relationships they are them treading cautiously. No matter how hard they try to ignore the magnetic attraction and major chemistry their share, as well as their lack of trusting others, they are drawn to each other. As doctors, they should know that the heart has its own mind, now if only they can they find a way to make a relationship work between them and overcome the fears and pain from their pasts. Ms. Flockton wrote a passionate, sweet and emotional story that is definitely not to be missed. She provided a tale rich with chemistry, intense conversations, and endearing characters giving Scott and Franceen a chance for a future together. I highly recommend Doctor’s in the Outback to other readers and look forward to the next book in this series about their younger sister, Yolanda. This ARC was given to me for an honest review. Next up in the Welcome to Bunya Junction series is Scott and Franceen's story. I have been wanting to find out more about Sindy's twin since the beginning! Franceen is a great match for Scott. They both have things in their past that affect their relationship but they work through together. You can read this as a stand-alone but I suggest you read the series because it is amazing! Surprised and excited that there will be one more book coming in this series.

In this latest addition to the series, Dr. Scott Carruthers, whom we’ve met in previous books, finally gets his story. He is busy running the hospital in Waratah River as well as setting up a foundation to help those financially less fortunate, who want the opportunity of pursuing a profession in healthcare. His world turns upside down when he meets the newly hired ab/gyn, Dr. Franceen Lewis. Though the attraction is evident, both their pasts are filled with pain. Add the fact that they are colleagues, have them treading cautiously. But the heart has it’s own mind and a relation emerges. What happens when someone from Franceen’s past comes back not only to shake her life but cause Scott to have second thoughts? The plot was engaging and the characters well developed. Though I am still partial to the first two books in the series, this one was well written and entertaining. I also enjoyed “visiting” with characters from previous stories. I was entrusted a copy of this book by Tule Publishing. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
