Secrets, lies, a family feud that has lasted decades, violence, hate, obsession, pain....... Can the pain they both crave in different ways bring redemption? It's dark and there are triggers for some, but I loved it and couldn't stop turning the pages. Lucian Morelli puts the Capital A in Alphahole. He's the ultimate antihero, a dark, dangerous, ruthless, cruel, cold and calculating sadist who follows his own twisted rules. Nothing and no-one gets in his way without suffering the consequences. He's not very likeable to be honest and in reality I'd run a mile but there is a quality about him that is seductively intriguing and I want to find out more. Is he heartless as the title suggests? Or will his irrational obsession with Elaine crack his iron clad heart and destroy them both? Elaine Constantine is an enigma, the black sheep, drug addicted shame of the Constantine family. I really liked her, she cracked my heart she was so lost and broken. Desperate for a slither of love from her own mother (boy do I detest that woman), she was tormented by so many demons. This woman held secret after secret tight to her chest, but was a Morelli, the biggest demon of them all about to give her the pain she craved before finally putting her out of her misery? Jade West is a favourite author of mine and this definitely has her darker side out to play. I'm not sure if an obsession this deep can turn to love or utter destruction. Is Lucian even capable of love? Its doubtful, but I can't wait to find out in the next book, which thankfully isn't too far away! 4.5 dark, obsessive stars

What the the h e double hockey sticks did I just read! I’m in utter shock and what does is say about me that I am totally hot for Lucian and all his psychotic crazy. Lucian Morrelli is a wrecking ball of epic proportions. Like I didn’t realize one man could be such an A Hole! Completely ruthless and doesn’t apologize for it, he owns every bit of the crazy bad a** he is! He turns completely obsessed with Elaine and I absolutely love a dark dirty romance with an obsessive man! Elaine is on the hot mess express train and the screw up of the Constantine family or so that’s what your lead to believe. Elaine is such a complex charter that you don’t actually know the real her. You get some bits a pieces but you are still left wondering. Lucian loves to dish out the pain and Elaine loves to take it and she wants all of it. Lucian’s darkness that feeds her darkness. There is definitely way more to each of these characters than meets the eye and I can’t wait to diver deeper into them. Jade could not have written a more dark and twisted romance. Heartless was absolutely hot, dirty, dark and twisted a In all the right ways! Heartless was perfect and book 2 cannot get in my hands fast enough. There are some tiggers in this book so if you have any at all I would definitely read through some of the reviews before proceeding.

Holy smokes!! 🔥⁉🔥⁉🔥⁉🔥⁉🔥 Whew!! This book was an apocalyptic explosion of intensity, darkness, steam and disturbing things. I will say that this book is definitely not for every reader and trust me when I say that I do not feel that this is an understatement. I'm saying that I believe that this read will even give a few die-hard dark romance fans some real moments of pause. This book features a lot of content that will push the boundaries and buttons for some readers and could be triggers for others (these include but are not limited to: sexual assault, drug use, violence, alcoholism, mental illness and S&M). So please, please be aware and make the right reading choice for you. Lucian and Elaine are the main characters of this story. Complex and extremely complicated, these two inspired strong feelings in me. I thought that Elaine had a tortured soul and a wounded heart. She was a very broken person and I felt that her thoughts, choices and actions showcased that. My heart ached for her. She made me want to shake her, hug her and protect her from everyone that seemed so determined to do more damage to her and that includes herself. As for Lucian, I'm not even sure what to say or even where to start. Let us try to put things into perspective, shall we? There are heroes and then anti-heroes and then there is Lucian. Yeah, he really goes that far and is just that objectionable. An acquired taste for sure. I'm very interested in seeing if and that is a BIG IF and how this author can manage to make this guy redeemable and likable. While I may have ambivalent feelings about the characters, the story does not suffer the same fate. This book is quick to ensnare you in a inescapable, potent web of raw emotions, drama, twists, heat and secrets that is addicting, consuming, disturbing and yes, even at times appalling. Part Romeo and Juliet and part disaster flick, you may love it, like it or hate it but one thing is absolutely certain, it's almost impossible to look away. Be prepared for the cliffhanger and the wait for book 2. This is my candid review that I am posting of my own accord.
