2.5 stars. I'll give tge next book/novella a try but I didn't really enjoy this first one. Should have been expected it as its an insta love romance but you'll never know what to think about a book if you don't try it.

2.5 stars. Although mildly entertaining, Something Real suffers from a lack of effort put into narrative. It reads as though we have skipped the first few chapters. The author doesn't trouble to try and show us who these characters are. The title was a misstep. The minimal story isn't centred in any kind of backstory, world building or personality, so how can it possibly feel real?

Adam and Lissa's story is quick, sweet, and to the point.
I felt it could have been more in depth and longer, as there was so much more story left unsaid.
It was a good story!

I am voluntarily writing this review for this book I received through Booksprouts arc.

Lissa believed in real magic like all of a sudden you realized that whatever happened in your life to lead you exactly where are suppose to be. Lissa knew that that a magical dating are was B.S. Marco told her about an the app was called in Indecent Apposal. Marco told her it was about time for her to start dating again. She puts her information and got a match but she knew who the man they matched her with. Adam’s phone beeped with a text it happened to be a message from Indecent Apposal with a match he forgot he signed up with the app. Adam and Lissa sleep together and when she goes back to her apartment it had been ransacked. Also, she finds a man with a gun inside and when Adam gets there he tells her he is his bodyguard because of death threats. The only thing that was missing was her laptop nothing else had been touched.. I would have given it a four but it was a cliffhanger.

Lissa is out with her cousin when he gives her the app to a dating site that finds your soul mate for you! Only you have to answer the questions honestly or it will kick you out! Lissa didn’t expect too much, but ended up getting a match as soon as she finished! Surprisingly her match also happens to be her new neighbor!! Adam is shocked when his phone beeps with a match for him! He can’t believe his match is the beautiful curvy young woman who lives across the hall from him! Only he hiding out right now after receiving death threats! Can they find their happily ever after? Great book that I would highly recommend!

Good but too short
It's a little bit hot, tender romance in this series, but so short. There are some twists and turns of the action, but the story is short and it is not developed enough, especially the whole parts about the threats.
Lissa decides to sign up for a supposedly magical app to connect two people who are meant for each other. She is surprised when she matches with her sublime neighbor, Adam. Adam is a wealthy inventor who hides in a shabby apartment with nearby bodyguards because he has received death threats. But how can he reconcile the attraction he has for Lissa and the danger hanging over him?

A beginning worth fighting for!

Do you believe in magic, well take a trip with Adam and Lissa on their discovery of finding true love through an app called An Indecent Apposal. This story will take you on a little journey about whether a person believe in the hypothesis of science or just pure heart pounding love.

Follow them as they navigate the pearls of death threats on Adam life as he embarks a discovery that could change the world...

A wonderful short dirty book!

This was a great read by Emma Ashe. What do you believe in? Fate, chance, luck? Lissa believes in the kind of magic where all your experiences lead to where you end up. So, she agrees to sign up for the An Indecent Apposal app at the encouragement of her cousin, Marco. Her match just happens to be her hot neighbor Adam Dreyer. Their connection is instant and intense. But a threat against Adam threatens to rip them apart. Adam realizes he has quickly fallen in love with Lissa so will he be able to convince her they are worth the risk?

I think I was missing something with this story. It says book 1 but it felt like there may have been previous books in the series. A couple of the characters had a more established feel to them. But I did like the two main characters. They were a very sweet couple with their own insecurities that they needed to overcome in order to be together. I expected a bit more drama and closure but it was still a good read

When Lissa gets pushed by her cousin to sign up for a fairly explicit dating app, she never expects to meet her match so quickly - and that this match was going to be her neighbor Adam! But Adam has secrets which might put Lissa in danger - although he also is strongly attracted to her. The sparks between these two were amazing, and I loved this book - can't wait for more in this series!

Adam had signed up for a dating app, An Indecent Apposal, but had heard nothing in months. Lissa signed up to the same app and all the sudden she gets a match and so does Adam. Really great story. The two characters were great together and they just had started their relationship when something happened. You need to read the book to find out what happens. Very short read but good. Unfortunately wasted potential

Lissa and Adam are probably engaging characters; unfortunately, there isn't sufficient development to be sure. The danger aspect could have added tension; unfortunately, the opportunity is squandered. The magical aspect might have been intriguing; unfortunately, it is only mentioned as throwaway comments. Plenty of potential but lacking follow-through.

Insta-love/ billionaire romance

This was fine. The MMC is a genius billionaire whose life is being threatened because he has discovered a new energy source. His safe house is the apartment across from the FMC yet they don’t actually speak to each other until they match on a dating site.

The chemistry is explosive and the spice is okay, but the story felt half finished. It is a shorter book, but much of what happens has no conclusion.

I enjoyed this "An Indecent Apposal" story. It's a fairly quick read with instant attraction and love. Adam and Lissa are so perfect for each other! It's a good story with some sexy and sweet. Both going on the "Indecent Apposal" app and completing an application to find their someone special. They become perfectly matched in this cute story with definite steaminess.

This is only my second book from this author and I have to say that I am really disappointed. It was a lot of condescending attitude from someone who wasn't even a leading man. Sorry, but no. Not to mention all the magic talk and the third person story telling, which is a huge no for me. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Quick, easy read. Very cute and satisyfying.

Something Real was a wonderful way for me to spend my time at the hair dresser waiting for my color to set. I thoroughly enjoyed Lissa's body confidence. I would have loved for Adam to be more domineering, but there's only so much that can be put into a quick read.

I'll definitely be reading the next book in this series.

This is a short hot read. It's an insta-love kind of romance and since it's short, it's fast-paced! The characters meet through a dating app. It is a bit surreal but fun.

A nice story, great to read in between but it lacks some depth.
A story about love at first sight but because there wasn’t much depth, it was somehow a bit unbelievable.
