This story starts out with a brutal and savage battle then moves on at a good pace. I loved the idea of Elves, Amazon's and Fairies as the main races, each led by an amazing character. This story really draws you in. At times it is dark, gritty and savage. I liked the way the author weaves in elements that I favor such as change, war and battles, broken vows, hate, love, peace, tolerance and chaos. And then there are some twists and turns that I love. It all comes together as a fine fantasy read.

This is the first time I have read books from John Grover. I wasn't disappointed either at all, can't wait for the next one. There was suspense, love, more suspense, I just couldn't put it down and was drawn right in. Nix, Edon,Lianna, June and many more. Different clans, all fighting for freedom and peace. Also one human. It's a book I really recommend. Is there another Spider Queen coming?
