We are once again introduced to Max, a talking rescue dog who is a great asset to Nala a PI. They are going to New Albany to help and old friend Regina, and her cat Teddy. Of which Max will love to tease, till it hisses and spits at him, being it’s a Maine Coon, maybe not.
Mythical boyfriend that every girl dreams of, Ashlee Noden is now missing, they will investigate. This stories are fun, witty, love Max, fast action, and pure enjoyment to read. Hopefully there will be more.

Another Winner in the Talking Dog Detective Agency Series
PI Nala Bonne and her talking dog, Max, are on their way to her friend, Regina’s, where she will substitute teach Regina’s class as well as house and pet sit. At the university, Nala’s class discovers her real profession and one of the girls asks for help in finding several missing women with a last known location at the local haunted house. What follows is a twisted tail of a spooky legend, an infamous house, a medium holding a seance, a deadbeat dad with a gambling problem, an overly strict, wealthy stepfather and a teenager with a recent painful breakup, not to mention a devoted rescue dog belonging to the missing girl. Max has new fancy spy equipment to use and Elvin, friend and computer expert, provides important research. This is an entertaining mystery, perfect for the season, with plenty of haunting, appropriate atmosphere. I fell in love with Max while reading the first book in this series and my infatuation has only deepened with each novel. Whether you are a mystery lover, an animal lover or someone who enjoys a great story with appealing characters and an excellent plot, the Talking Dog Detective Agency series is the perfect choice.
