Overview

Josie is a fifteen-year-old high school theater geek who has been able to communicate with the dead ever since she hit her head on a rock during last summer's adventure camp.

Now, it's Halloween and the only thing she wants is to be a normal teenager... to go to football games and costume parties, hang out with her friends, talk about boyfriends, and complain about homework and her parents, but she cannot escape the spirits of the dead. And while studying the Salem Witch Trials in school, Josie begins to doubt her own sanity and fear the reaction if anyone besides her closest friends knew of her ability. Would she be called a witch? Would people think she's weird, crazy, or evil?

Just when she believes things are turning around, Josie finds herself haunted by the band of witch-killers who destroyed the village of Fishkill Pond centuries ago. With the help of her live friends Jenna, Simon, and Dave - and a few dead ones as well - Josie must find a way to help the men who are tormenting her and haunting land of Fishkill Pond or risk being cursed by them forever.
