About this ebook

One rule. One winner. One hundred million dollars.

A group of random strangers are invited to take part in a mysterious lottery with an intriguing premise. Twenty-seven accept the offer.

But what begins as an unusual social experiment quickly descends into something much more sinister. The contestants receive more than they bargained for, and the dark side of human nature reveals itself.

As the lottery spirals into a life-and-death struggle for survival, Alice Kato is left searching for answers. How far are ordinary people willing to go to win this extraordinary amount of money? Is there anyone she can trust? Is there any way out?

And just who exactly is pulling all the strings?

Everyone has their price. Most just don't know what it is yet.

a very deep sharp swipe at human nature in a man-made dystopia that is quickly rushing towards us. Less science fiction rather than simply a possible path to the near future. the billionaire class is more popular than ever much more popular or an influential than the dying royal family. And the billionaires unlike the royals don't even have to pretend to have loyalty to any land or people. this feels ripped from the headlines of tomorrow. couldn't even call this writing cynical because the real hearing now is already so dystopian and it's truthful nature. heck we have writers on strike now destined to be replaced by AI writers anyway. it is touching sentimental horrid of course. in fact facing the politics of the day May 8th 2023. it seems almost whimsical in its optimism because the reality is so much darker and so much worse than this imagine dystopia

I feel like this could be a great limited series on Netflix or something. I enjoyed the concept a lot and would love to see more of the characters fleshed out on a screen! wishful thinking, I guess. but for a free read, this is excellent. this was my intro to Nathan and I've read 4/6 of his books so far. about to get into the last two (war on horror 1&2) and am excited. they have all been hits (except the pretenders I did not enjoy nearly as much as the others) and I quite enjoy his writing style. look forward to more like this.

It was so good, I couldn't stop myself from reading this ....I just kept turning the pages over and over because I couldn't wait to know what happens further. Also I am surprised at the imagination level of the author who could think so much and care to capture the minute details too. If you are a sensitive person ( though I am too) , and don't feel good listening about blood and other disgusting things than this book isn't for you.But if you want to read a murder mystery, this is the best one.
