Arriving in the royal city of Cynegil just after the good king's death, Liam and his traveling troupe face arrest for entertaining during a time of mourning. To escape punishment, they must play for the court. But Liam soon becomes embroiled in the court's mystery and conflict, and must flee Cynegil with a price upon his head.
