Jade's newborn sister, Pearl, is thrust into her arms with a message: Leave the tunnels and never return. The world outside is a sun-scorched wasteland where people have grown wild and dangerous, mutated by the sun. But pretty soon they will all come searching for Pearl. And only Jade can stop them.
