I loved Perry and how Monica Murphy wrote him. He's the nice, easygoing guy that everyone underestimates. We see another side of him, and I kind of want him to be a little bit more like this. Charlotte was great. I really liked her feistiness, refusing to show her vulnerability. The two were wishy washy, but I thought it was understanding of why they kept changing their minds so much. I didn't mind it because I was enjoying their interactions together. Looking forward to the next book and seeing how Perry hands the obstacle that presented itself at the end of the book.

"Every once in a while, it hits me—I’m engaged. I’ll be married, to a woman I don’t even know. A woman I don’t want to know." Yes, arranged marriage, fake relationship between two people who seriously don't want it! This was my first book by Monica Murphy and it was so easy to read and keep turning the pages. I loved Perry from The Cinderella trilogy, set in this Midnight Dynasty world. He was the easy going, relaxed, charming Constantine but we certainly saw a different but very good side to him in this as family responsibilities try to grind him down. When he starts to get to know his reluctant bride, his protective side unexpectedly kicks in and Mother Caroline will not get all her own way! I loved that side to him. Perry Constantine was an absolute sweetheart and I loved Charlotte Lancaster as well. She'd been through a lot and with a very controlling father too, she struggled to trust anyone. She was feisty but vulnerable and I enjoyed the slow burn attraction together with the push, pull denial and reluctance to be forced into a marriage of convenience. With a twist at the end I kind of guessed, although not completely, I really enjoyed this and can't wait to find out what comes next.

Holy W-O-W did I devour this one! I love Perry, he might be my favorite Constantine to date, and Charlotte is a doll, and I felt from the beginning they were going to take us on an adventure. Charlotte is so sweet, she deserves a good guy like Perry and I was glad she knew that from the word go. Perry is sorting his own mess out, they are both people pleasers, but I think Perry has had enough. It was good to watch them grow stronger together, and the family drama and suspense kept me turning the pages. The ending had me screaming at my Kindle (mentally of course), I have to know what happens! I had my theories but they all went out the window and I loved it, because I hate when its predictable! I CANNOT WAIT to see how much they grow in the next book, hopefully strong enough to face the obstacles that still lie ahead. I don't know where they are going but sure hope Charlotte's Dad gets whats coming to him!
