I read this book all the way through but I wish I hadn't. If I hadn't read other books by Elise Sax and enjoyed them, I'd never pick up another of her books again after this one. Most disappointing.

Three women, down on their luck and at the end of their ropes, decide to band together to overcome their obstacles to a better life. Their antics and shenanigans take them from the city to a working ranch that the owner sponsors a large charity rodeo event on his grounds. Funny and down to earth.

FUNNY! Starts with the tragic stories of the 3 soon to be best friends Beatrice, Olivia and Rosalind, main characters in the trilogy. While Beatrice (main female character) has self confidence issue, I can empathize with her. Even though there are multiple POVs, I am not confused as to who is "talking". Special mention to the mother of Olivia who is passively great! The way it was written I could imagine her reaction while watching TV and observing the 3 friends. Lot's of laugh-out-loud moments!

Elise Sax writes hilarious happy endings. She worked as a journalist, mostly in Paris, France for many years but always wanted to write fiction. Finally, she decided to go for her dream and write a novel. She was thrilled when An Affair to Dismember, the first in the Matchmaker Mysteries series, was sold at auction.

Elise is an overwhelmed single mother of two boys in Southern California. She's an avid traveler, a swing dancer, an occasional piano player, and an online shopping junkie.
