Hilarious! Matilda Dare is pretty sure running a small-town newspaper has got to be better than having a hopefully soon-to-be-ex-husband that has had you committed and tried to kill you but she could be wrong. The residents of Goodnight, New Mexico are uniquely weird and have a first-class gossip chain that is almost always wrong about everything in the most amazingly funny ways. I loved the giraffe parade! This is the first book I have read in this series and I definitely want to read more!

I haven't laughed this much in forever! I was so engrossed in the story, ( I live in New Mexico, lol) that I kept reading while waiting to see our Dr. I kept laughing out loud, and embarrassed my poor husband, who thinks I'm crazy anyhow. Matilda's character is going to go far, I hope! I'm going to read as many of her books as I can.

The book was absolutely amazing!! I loved Matilda's character and her determination to find the killer... the story us full of twists and turns and is very engaging... I found the book entertaining... I especially am loving the love triangle... Wish the other books in the series were free... after reading the first chapter, I signed up for the newsletter...

About the author

Elise Sax writes hilarious happy endings. She worked as a journalist, mostly in Paris, France for many years but always wanted to write fiction. Finally, she decided to go for her dream and write a novel. She was thrilled when An Affair to Dismember, the first in the Matchmaker Mysteries series, was sold at auction.

Elise is an overwhelmed single mother of two boys in Southern California. She's an avid traveler, a swing dancer, an occasional piano player, and an online shopping junkie.
