Hidden Beauty

3 1/2 stars Hidden Beauty is the second book in the Beauty and the Beast Trilogy. I had high hopes for this second one since the first one came out swinging. But it kind of was what you would expect for a second book. Little information, little chemistry between Leo and Haley, and little movement for this one book. I gave this one four stars because I did read and finish it, I did get some information on what Leo is thinking to move forward for the next book, and of course, we got a push on Leo and Haley's deep feelings for each other. For this book to be only 161 pages I had hoped for more substance and since we didn't get more of that I have to think it could have been split into the first and last book to make it a duet story. I honestly felt like it was pointless to read. I however will read the next one in hopes that we get a final story that will keep me going like the first book did

Hidden Beauty by Amelia Wilde made me fall for a burning angel hidden in the devil and his broken pieces. Leo Morelli holds this story together in his bloodied hands. If you need one reason to read this trilogy that would be experiencing Leo Morelli.So this story has firmly made me Team Leo. I mean there is no way to stop me from getting obsessed with this man. He is such a contradictory figure. To the world, he is the Beast of Bishop's Landing. A cold, cruel, ruthless monster. But that is his mask to hide his goodness. The protector, the caretaker, the sacrificed soul to help others. This story shows us glimpses of his past's terrors those moulded him into this man. Haley is definitely the key to unlock his secrets and his vulnerabilities. ( reviewed an early copy voluntarily)

Just when you think things might be manageable - When it seemed like their souls would get a chance to heal Out of the darkness comes the Betrayal - The leeches - The past - Now some two-legged problems need to be dealt with Swiftly and without mercy! I never liked that spineless single-celled leach to begin with! Please Leo believe she would never do that! I hope he comes at you all with a vengeance! Cash you had better start thinking for yourself Hang in there Haley By the way, this ends on a cliffy that will knock you on your coccyx!
